Some of you clearly don't check your root systems before they fuse to the plastic. Just spent an hour cutting a micro ficus out of a net pot because the roots decided to weld themselves to the grid. If you aren't doing weekly root training, you're basically building a engine with no oil. Use a sharp pair of shears next time instead of pulling on them. My hands are sore and I still have to clean the resovoir.
