How charming of their design team to make a port that looked identical to the Apple dock connector while being entirely incompatible, ensuring nobody could accidentally share cables during emergencies. Some people complain about bent pins, but I personally admire how fragile those internal connectors were. The experience really taught users to exercise extreme care while plugging in their devices at 2 AM in the dark. We truly did not appreciate how much character that port brought to early Android tablets.
