We all love innovation, and HTC really outdid themselves back in the mid-2000s with the ExtUSB port. It is truly wonderful how they looked at a standard Mini-USB and decided it needed more fragile pins and a proprietary shape. Standard cables could slide in if you shoved them hard enogh, which surely didn't damage the internal housing. Finding a replacment headphone adapter that functioned was always such a fun weekend adventure. I am so glad we got to experience that era of brilliant design optimism.
